World Animal Welfare Day

To raise the status of animals and improve their welfare 'World Animal Welfare Day ' is celebrated annually on October 4, the feast day of Francis of Assisi, the Patron Saint of animals.

To generate a sense of responsibility, little MMPians were taught how to look after the animals whether at home or anywhere else, how they can help stray animals and save the existing animals.

Students were also guided that through increased awareness and education we can create a world where animals are always recognised as sentient beings and full regard is always paid to their welfare.

Gandhi Jayanti Celebration

MMPS celebrated Gandhi Jayanti in a special virtual assembly on Friday to pay homage to the Father of the Nation. The programme started with the chanting of bhajan ‘Raghupati Raghav’ which was Mahatma Gandhi’s favourite song. Students delivered speeches on the life and principles of mahatma Gandhi. Many of them made posters on his life and his contribution to the freedom struggle of the country. Informative videos were also shown to the students. A quiz on the life of Mahatma Gandhi was also held.

Principal of the school Mrs. Rooma Pathak told the students to follow the footsteps of the Father of the Nation and to be self-reliant like him. She encouraged them to spread the crusade of cleanliness.

All our students were imbued with Gandhian values and thoughts and vowed to became berths citizens of India and this World.

MM Public School Celebrated World Heart Day Events .... Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

“A Healthy Heart is a Priceless Wealth.”

Heart is body’s engine room responsible for sustainment of life. And to impart the importance of healthy lifestyle for proper functioning of heart especially during COVID times an interactive session to commemorate 'World Heart Day’ and Poster Making Competition was organised under 75 Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav for all the students and teachers on Wednesday September 29, 2021.

The Interactive Session commenced with the welcome of eminent, clinical cardiologist and Emergency Physician, Dr. Krishna Soni from Artemis Hospital, Gurugram by our revered Principal Ma'am Mrs. Rooma Pathak with a sapling as a token of honour and respect.

The students were given valuable tips on how to take care of their heart and how to follow healthy life pattern.

A poster making competition was also organized to spread awareness about various causes and preventive measures of cardiovascular diseases.

Thus, the interactive session and poster making competition was valuable for both students and teachers as it was truly an eye- opener which imparted the ways not only to adopt healthy habits and identify unhealthy patterns which aggravate heart problems but also the knowledge gained was exhibited through expression in form of Poster Making.

Investiture Ceremony

“Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other. Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and learn a trail.”

To espouse the confidence, leadership qualities and sense of responsibility among the students and to bestow the deserving students of the Senior and Primary wing with responsibility of leading the school with honour, an Investiture Ceremony was organised virtually on September 22, 2021.

It was an effervescent ceremony that commenced with a lot of exuberance amongst the students.  It began with a welcome address by our revered Principal Madam Mrs Rooma Pathak. The occasion was graced by the august presence of honourable Chief Guest Commanding Officer, NCC Col. Sanjay Tiwari, who motivated the students through his inspiring speech and emphasised on the importance of discipline in one’s life especially during COVID times. The portfolios of the Student Council were displayed along with their photographs through the presentation. The elected leaders were invested with their respective designations followed by the Oath taking ceremony where they were reminded that they are the torch bearers of all the values that the school stands for and they need to take responsibility with commitment and integrity. It was indeed a proud moment for all the parents to witness their children being invested with sashes and badges as they embarked on a new journey as leaders.

The event concluded with inspiring speeches by the newly elected Head Boy- Lavi Hasija and Head Girl-Lucky Chaudhary. They expressed their gratitude towards the principal and the teachers who entrusted them with positions of such responsibility. The expressions of the Junior Head Boy- Iknoor Singh and Head Girl- Jaya Jha added to the blaze. The zeal of the council was reflected in their confidence and dedication to execute their work.  The ceremony ended with National Anthem. The principal wished good luck and great success to the prefectorial board to uphold the integrity for a fruitful year ahead.

Rhino’s Day celebration

A Virtual Tour to KAZIRANGA PARK was organized for little pals of Grade U.K.G & 1 Students on the occasion of world's RHINO’S DAY.

KAZIRANGA is located in the state of Assam. It is famous for the one- horned Rhinos. Children were thrilled to see different types of One- horned Rhinos, Elephants, Water Buffalo's etc.

At the Midst of School Lockdown, Children were exhilarated with fun & Joy through "A Small Virtual Tour".

World Ozone Day Celebration

The Greatest threat to the planet is the belief that someone else is saving it”

The theme for the celebration of this year’s World Ozone Day is- ‘Montreal Protocol – Keeping us, our food and vaccines cool’ and to spread awareness among all the students about the theme and how crucial the ozone shield is for the life on the Earth, World Ozone Day was celebrated on Thursday 16 September 2021.

Many hands-on activities like clay modelling of earth and ozone layer were made by Students of class I & II which successfully imparted the message that ozone layer is vital as it shields the earth from ultraviolet rays.

Paper headgears and other props were designed by students of class III to V and a role play was enacted to convey the information about ozone layer, CFCs & its adverse effects. Poster making activity, slideshows making, videos making, delivery of speech and hands on activities were carried out by students of class VI to XII to impart strong message highlighting the need to protect ozone layer.

The Principal Madam Mrs. Rooma Pathak not only appreciated the activities performed by students but also motivated and inspired students to carry on the exemplary work of sensitizing and protecting the ozone layer and climate under the Montreal Protocol.

Kavi Sammelan on occasion of Hindi Diwas

संस्कृत की एक लाडली बेटी है हिंदी,

बहनों को साथ लेकर चलती है हिंदी,

ओजस्विनी है और अनूठी है ये हिन्दी,

 अंग्रेजी से भी इसका कोई बैर नहीं है,

उसको भी अपनेपन से लुभाती है ये हिन्दी,

 यूं तो देश में कई भाषाएं और हैं,

 पर राष्ट्र के माथे की बिंदी है ये हिंदी।

एम.एम. पब्लिक स्कूल वसुधा एनक्लेव पीतमपुरा दिल्ली ने 14 सितंबर 2021 को  विद्यालय में हिंदी दिवस का आयोजन किया। इसमें पहली कक्षा से लेकर बारहवीं कक्षा के सभी विद्यार्थियों ने विभिन्न कार्यकलापों द्वारा अपना अपना योगदान दिया। एक तरफ जहां छात्रों ने हिंदी दिवस से संबंधित विभिन्न पोस्टर बनाए, नारे लिखे, कक्षाओं में प्रसिद्ध कवियों की कविताएं और प्रसिद्ध लेखकों की कहानियों का वाचन किया वहीं दूसरी ओर हिंदी विभाग ने 8वीं कक्षा से 12वीं कक्षाओं के छात्रों के लिए वर्चुअल कवि सम्मेलन का आयोजन किया। हालांकि छात्रों का यह प्रथम प्रयास था लेकिन बहुत ही उम्दा और सराहनीय था। विद्यालय यह कामना करता है कि उसे  भविष्य में  समाज को अनेक नवोदित कवि और लेखक देने का गौरव प्राप्त  होगा।

Hindi Diwas celebration

विश्व हिन्दी दिवस की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं इस दिवस को मनाने का उद्देश्य विश्व में हिन्दी के प्रचार-प्रसार के लिये जागरूकता पैदा करना, हिन्दी को अन्तराष्ट्रीय भाषा के रूप में पेश करना, हिन्दी के लिए वातावरण निर्मित करना हम सभी मिलकर प्रयास करें

Ganesh Chaturthi celebration

Ganesh Chaturthi marks the birth of the deity Lord Ganesha, the God of wisdom and prosperity. One of the biggest and most auspicious festivals in India, Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated by MMPians on 10th September 2021.

Students participated with full enthusiasm and made Ganesha Idol with material available in the kitchen. Primary kids made Ganesha and decorated with pulses. Prayers were done for all classes in online mode.

On the whole day was fun and festivity mood was prevalent.

Vedic Age- An Important Period of Ancient History

To create understanding about the life style, political system, occupation, religions of Vedic Age which was an integral part of ancient history, students of grade VI were involved in series of activities on virtual platform.

Teacher made earnest efforts to make them aware about the differences between the Early Vedic Period & Later Vedic Period by showing videos related to the topic and organising a Debate on the Topic- 'The caste system only created inequalities and did not benefit the Vedic society in any way.' for the students in the class.

Students understood the concept by making PPTs comparing the similarities and differences between life style of Indus Valley Civilisation and Vedic Age. Thus, the activities were beneficial for the students.
