Position in Inter Zonal Hand Ball

It was a glorious moment when our Handball team secured I position in Inter Zonal Handball Competition held from 22nd November 2018 to 24th November 2018 at Sarvodhya Vidayalya, FU Block Pitampura.

Participating students are : Mandeep of class VII, Rahul of class VIII, Mohit Singh of class VII, Himanshu of class VII, Sunny Ahlawat of class VI, Deepak of class VIII, Basant of class VIII and Devender of class VII

SELECTION OF SCIENCE MODELS FOR STATE LEVEL

It was a matter of immense pride and glory when the models based on the theme, ?Scientific Solutions for Challenges in Life? were selected for State Level in Central Science Exhibition 2018-19 held on 26 Nov2018 to 28 Nov 18 at GBSSS SU Block Pitam Pura. The students showcased their talent at Central Level and were not only appreciated and declared as winners but were also awarded with trophies and certificates.

The models ?Power generation through Magnet? prepared at primary level by Yanik Baweja of V-A and Arnav Sharma of V-B, and at the senior level, ?Phenol: A Serious Environmental Threat?, prepared by Bhavik Valecha of XI -A and Karan Vaswani of XI-B were selected. The Principal madam congratulated and wished all the winning students success for the State Level.

Selection of Art & Craft Models for State Level

It was a matter of immense pride and glory when the models Under S.U.P.W category held  from 26th to 28th November 2018  at G.B.S.S.S , SU BLOCK,  Science Center-1 S. Abhinya  and Himanshu Pandey of class VIII participated on the topic Lord Ganesha-The Destroyer of darkness won the 1st prize at Centre level  and were qualified for the state Level. The students showcased their talent at Centre Level and were not only appreciated and declared as winners but were also awarded with trophies and certificates.

Position in CBSE National Lawn Tennis

It was a glorious moment when Jigyasa Sharma of class XI secured third position in CBSE national lawn tennis competition under 19 (individual) which was held from 17th November 2018 to 21st November 2018 at Billabong high school.

Smt. Krishna Pathak Memorial Fourteenth Interschool Painting & Craft Competition

The school has been organizing Smt. Krishna Pathak Memorial Inter school Painting and Craft Competitions since 2006 and this year also to pay allegiance to the founders of the school Late Smt. Krishna Pathak and Late Shri Lomesh Rishi Pathak, a colourful platform was provided to the budding artists in Smt. Krishna Pathak Memorial 14th Inter school Painting and Craft Competition on Tuesday 27 November, 2018 in the school premises with great fervor.  

Smt. Pushpa Ratnam (SPE Zone XI) and other distinguished guests - Mr. Ved Prakash (ASI Delhi Traffic Police), Mr. Prem Kumar Amar, Vice President of TRAX and Ms. Deepali Srivastava, Communication Coordinator TRAX graced the occasion and motivated the students. The competition commenced with a welcome song and musical background.  

About 4900 students of 198 schools of Delhi and NCR participated and spread freshness as well as fragrance of positivity in the atmosphere. The children let their imagination run wild and created absolute magic on the canvas. It was a day when creativity exploded on different topics like Child Abuse, Digital India, Say No To Bullying, Cyber Crime etc.

Revered Director Sir, Shri Somesh Rishi Pathak and esteemed Principal Madam Mrs Rooma Pathak appreciated and applauded the participants for their commendable work in presenting vibrant style and techniques in different art forms.

Thus, Smt. Krishna Pathak Memorial 14th Interschool Painting and Craft Competition was a great success where the participant gave vent to their imagination and aesthetic exploration creating magical expression on canvas.

Visit to Orphanage

"God has given us two hands - one to receive and the other to give with."

To make the students aware about the values of parents in life, the school organized a visit to Matri Chhaya, an orphanage on 22ndNovember 2018 for the students of class XI (Humanities section). Students spent time with the parents less children and felt their hardships. They distributed fruit juices and sweets among them. It was an emotional experience for the students.

Quiz on Malnutrition by Readers Club

To widen up the knowledge of the students of class-VIII about Malnutrition, Causes and Remedies quiz was organized on 20.11.18. The students divided into 3 teams and the quiz master put the questions. All the teams performed with great zeal and showed keen interest while giving answers. But the team IODINE (Vedic and Adnan of class VIII-A) defeated other team and won the quiz.  Thus, the quiz proved to be quite useful and worthy for the students.

Show & Tell Birds Activity by Mont Classes

A key part of Kindergarten curriculum, "Show and Tell" is an important part of a child's learning development. To develop effective communication skills and to build their confidence, a "Show and Tell" competition was recently organized at MMPS with LKG and UKG children. Children took center stage and spoke on the topic "BIRDS". Children were dressed up beautifully as Birds and were also holding props to describe about it. They described about the topic with a lot of confidence, facial expressions and proper voice modulation.

Overall, the show was a spectacular learning experience for kids!

Identifying Preposition Activity for class I

An innovative activity on Prepositions was conducted for class-I on 23rd November 2018. The multi-fold objective of the activity was to enable the students to identify and define Prepositions. Students were able to frame sentences by using various Prepositions.

This activity helped in developing critical thinking skills and vocabulary building.

It was a fun filled activity. The children were excited and enjoyed a lot.
