Independence Day celebration Function by Primary students

India celebrated her 73rd Independence Day on this August 15, 2019. On this day in 1947, India got freedom from the British rule after long years of slavery. M.M. Public School celebrated Independence Day of India with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour on the morning of August 14, 2018.

The cultural programme at school commenced with primary wing where chorus of girls sang together ‘Welcome song’. The spirit of freedom and nationalism was well exhibited by the student-teachers of MMPS through a spectrum of patriotic poems, speeches, ramp walk, nukkad natak, songs and dance based on freedom, liberty and women empowerment. Our honourable principal, Ms. Rooma Pathak was the Chief Guest of the programme. In the end, the Principal ma’am delivered the short speech. She told the students about the supreme sacrifice the great martyrs who gave their lives for the sake of freedom, equality, save girl child and the precious natural resource- water.

To commemorate 73rd INDEPENDENCE DAY and also to keep the spirit of patriotism alive, the students from class-VI to IX celebrated INDEPENDENCE DAY on 14th August 2019 on Wednesday with great fervor and excitement.  They not only decorated their classrooms beautifully but also filled the whole atmosphere with the true colors of nationalism. The students expressed their feelings through creative slogans, posters, poems and paid tribute to our great freedom fighters and remembered those soldiers who are ready to sacrifice their life to protect our nation. Thus, the day became memorable and exciting for all.

The little pals of L.K.G class celebrated GREEN COLOUR DAY with full enthusiasm.

The foir area of school was decorated with green colour. Children were asked to bring any green colour objects and speak few lines about it.

The enriching moral value story narrated by the teacher related to green colour through puppet theatre was a binge of the day. Various activities related to green colour was the hindmost learning of the day.

A day full of fun and academic attainment Indeed.

Quiz Competition by Heritage Club

‘Knowledge is a treasure, but practice is the key to it.’

Quiz competitions are not only informative but also broaden the mental horizon of the students about the world. Keeping the same objective in mind a Quiz on Heritage of India and Our Mother Earth was organised by Heritage Club on 8 August 2019 i.e. Thursday. The students were divided in four teams The Northern India, The Southern India, The Eastern India and The Western India. The students show cased their knowledge by quickly answering the questions. All the teams were well prepared and the competition was tough. Though some questions were tricky but they skilfully answered the questions.

The Southern Team was announced as the winner of the tough and interesting quiz competition.

Thus, the quiz was a great success and students enjoyed it a lot.

Fire Mock Drill

A fire mock drill was conducted for all the student and staff members on 10th July 2019. Within a span of four to five minutes the entire school was vacated to the ground safely with the help of designated rescue team members. The rescue team guided all the students while vacating the school. The students were old how to maintain space and panic. They moved from the stairs and were guided not to run on stairs leading to stampede. The mock drill turned out to be a helpful plan carried out by rescue team of MMPS.

Friendship Day Celebration

A “SPECIAL MESSAGE ASSEMBLY” on Friendship Day was organized for the little pearls of L.K.G grade.

Blitheness was visible on each little face as they saw a special movie on” Friendship day” and also exchanged friendship bands with their besties.

Special activity was the crowning moment of the day as children were asked to make heart using his/her own fist and their friends’ fist.

A lovable day for little children.

Mock Birthday Party

Celebrations spark joy. Joy facilitates learning.

Birthday Celebrations are important for emotional and social development of children. Parties/celebrations in itself is a self-esteem booster of each individual. It creates a special bond of friendship and leave great memories in the mind of children which last for the life time.

To inculcate the moral values, virtues and social development amongst children a Mock Birthday Party was organized on August 6, 2019’ for L.K.G pals.

The main aim of this party was to make the children understand how they can plan, execute and be a part of any party. They were also made familiar with the words like invitation, comfortable, blow the candle, lit the candle, welcome, goody bags, bursting of balloons etc. Children enjoyed a special value education story on “Birthday party”. They were thrilled to have different tattoos at the tattoo station. The party ended with cake cutting followed by a rhythmic dance done by little hearts of L.K.G grade.

Hawan for class I

Hawan is a part of our culture. It is practiced to keep our environment pure. It over flows the positive power by removing negative forces. In order to seek the blessing of almighty and to bring new positive energy amongst the minds of our children “Hawan” was organized for the students of class 1 under the divine fervor and spirituality.

The fragrance of Hawan Samagri wafted through the entire campus to make one and all feel connected with the God and to purify the polluted environment.

Selection in Indian Soft Tennis Team for participate in 1st Asian Soft Tennis Championship

It was profound pleasure when Daksh Gupta of class IX was selected in India Soft Tennis Team for the participate in 1st Asian Junior Soft Tennis Championship at Philippines from August 26 to 31, 2019.

School wishes him great success in the event to come.
