School observed a Digital Detox Week from 7.10.19 to 13.10.19. Students were explained at length the harms of smart phones addiction, drawbacks, psychological effects and health hazards of excessive screen time. Also, tools and strategies to achieve digital detox were also discussed through videos and ppts. Students participated in various activities such as role plays, brain storming sessions, debates and discussions held during the week. Students also got engaged in making posters reflecting innovative ideas and creativity.
MMPians were encouraged to spend time with family, friends and the world around them. The project aimed at teaching and inculcating habit of disconnecting from the digital world to connect to the real world.
A rally was organized by Eco-Club on 24 October 2019 with a message “Say No to Crackers.” Students from class IX participated in rally very enthusiastically. The purpose of the rally was to aware children and the people not to burst crackers on Diwali. As these crackers are very harmful for the environment. Bursting of crackers emits lots of poisonous gases like carbon dioxide, methane etc. which causes many health problems like cancer, irritation in eyes etc.
Students made posters to create awareness among people residing near school. They also took pledge not to burst crackers and save environment.
The facilitators of MMPS planted a plant to convert Diwali into Eco – Friendly Diwali.
The message was – “Those crackers we burn in Diwali pollute our environment, these plants will always make our habitat pure and beautiful.”
Diwali “Array of light “was celebrated by the school students with full zeal and enthusiasm. Children cleaned their classroom, decorated them beautifully, did beautiful associated craft work and also made beautiful Rangolis. Teacher and children prayed to Lord Ganesha and Goddess Laxmi for happy and prosperous life of all. The day sparkled more by a special Garba Dance presentation by U.K.G and Grade 1 students. A special dance performance by the multi- talented teachers of Pre – Primary wing filled the heart of students with joy and enthusiasm. Children also watch a ppt on Diwali.
On this auspicious day, little pals of class 2 made chandeliers and class 3 made rockets and decorated them. On the other hand, class 4 & 5 made diyas with clay and tohran respectively. All the classes and floors were decorated with garlands, diyas, lamps, etc. Our honourable Principal ma’am came and lighted the lamp and told students about Green and Safe Diwali. It was a great and joyful day of lights.
Students warmly welcomed and shared sweets with the eminent guests present Ms. Romi Johri (Assistant Director Physical Education/NI), Ms. Savita Yadav (SPE, Zone-XII-XIII), Ms. Sulbha Arora (Cultural Incharge) and Mr. Prem from Education department.
A value was embedded in the mind of all the little pals i.e. to have “Clean Diwali – Green Diwali”. A beautiful day ended with a special Diwali Party. Children tapped their fact on beautiful dance numbers and wished each other “HAPPY DIWALI”.
Flameless cooking competition was held for Grade 1 students on “Nutritious Recipes”. The agenda of this competition was to exhibit their culinary skills through nutritious yet distinct flavors.
All the salubrious dishes prepared by the little hands were nourishing and real treat to the eyes.
The alluring buds prepared Bhelpuri, fruit chaat and fruit kababs. Children participated with full zeal and enthusiasm.
Principal madam appreciated the efforts of the participants and stressed upon necessity and advantages of healthy eating

Special Message Assembly was organized for the students of L.K.G, U.K.G and Grade 1 on the Topic “Eat Healthy”. A talk in length on the topic was taken up by the Pre-Primary Co-Coordinator stating about the importance of Physical activity, eating healthy food, keeping fat to a minimum, Eat foods rich in essential nutrient and balanced diet.
It was followed by a PPT which enlightened the minds of little young ones.
A day full of acquiring knowledge.
To rejuvenate the students from their dull and monotonous routine, a picnic to WOW (Worlds of Wonders, Amusement and Water Park) in Noida was organized by the school for the students of Class IX to XII on Saturday i.e. 19 October 2019.
The Amusement Park was a perfect venue for amalgamation of three i.e. fun, extreme happiness and entertainment as around 350 students along with 32 teachers enjoyed all the rides like Roller Coaster, 360° , Mega Disko, Free Fall and many more. Students showed immense excitement and had lots of fun & frolic. Students along with their teachers danced on the latest foot tapping numbers. The students also enjoyed in the Water Park different water rides like Lazy Lake, Wave Pool, Raft Ride, Boomerang etc. and had a gala time there.
Thus, the picnic was helpful in promoting relaxation and recreation among the students. They carried back home the treasure of their unforgettable memories.

The ability to identify colours is a milestone in a child’s cognitive process. It also enhances their sensory skills and creativity. As such L.K.G litolians did an activity, i.e. Jump on the right colours. It was a fun-loving activity for them.

It was a matter of immense pride and pleasure that the school had organized CBSE Central Zone Tennis Tournament from 11 October 2019 to 15 October 2019 under these categories i.e. Under-17 Boys & Girls and Under 19 Boys & Girls. Around 121 teams of different schools from Central Zone like Modern School Barakhamba Road, G.D.Goenka Rohini, etc. participated with great zeal and showcased their talent. At the Closing Ceremony, the Chief Guest, Rajiv Gandhi Sports Awardee and International Para Athlete Mr. Vikas Dagar, the Guest of Honour Deputy Secretary IT CBSE Mr. Jitender Kumar Jain and the observer of the tournament Mr. Ravi Sachdeva were welcomed by Director Sir Mr. Somesh Rishi Pathak and Principal Ma’am Ms. Rooma Pathak. The guests along with Director Sir and Principal Ma’am gave away the medals and trophies to the team of M. M. Public School comprising of Under 17 Boys Kanishk Pal (X), Harsh Raj (VIII), Daksh (VIII) and Maitreya Rana (IX) who bagged Ist Position, Under-19 Boys Md. Sameer (XII) , Sanmay Sood (XI) , Samarth Kaushik (XI) and Sadhak Makhija (IX) who secured IInd Position and Under 19 Girls Jigyasa Sharma (XI), Japneet Sapan Sawhney(X) , Divya Ungrish(VI) and Hridya Sharma (IX) who attained III Position and were also awarded.
Thus, all in all it was a great sporting event which inculcated in the participants the feeling of team spirit and sportsmanship.
