Flag making activity was conducted by Art Club under the guidance of HOD Arts Mrs. Priti Anand. Detail Information about the importance of colors in the flags and what they represent was explained to the students. Students made a big flag and actively engrossed in colouring. Through this activity we aim to give global awareness and exposure to the students and inculcate in them the values of team work unity and patriotism. After this activity students were able to recognize the flags of common wealth countries. These flags were displayed in the class depicting love and respect towards own nation and toleration and co-operation with other nations as well. Students got informed, shared information with each other and developed team spirit. The activity was appreciated by all.
It was a moment of pride and pleasure when Sacchitt Sharma of class X not only represented India but also was a Runner-up in Indian Boys Under-14 team in QATAR JUNIOR TENNIS TEAM CUP held in DOHA from 23rd to 29th December 2015.
The Indian team comprised of SACCHITT SHARRMA, DEV JAVIA, MANN MAULIK and HIMANSHU MOR. The Indian boys were led by coach SAJID LODHI.
In order to commemorate the 128th birthday of Dr. Ramanujan, GANIT week was celebrated from 16th December 2015 to 23rd December 2015 in the school premises. During this week, many activities like Relay Race on Mathematics, Quiz and solving of Puzzles on Logical and Reasoning Questions was conducted among the students of class I-VIII. A session on Pascal?s Triangle Law brought a sense of awakening of knowledge among the students from class IX-XII. Primary students solved Puzzles with full enthusiasm and concentration.
Senior students were not only able to solve puzzles and games like Sudoku but also made a project on importance of Young?s Modulus Function which helped them to develop their analytical and awareness on how to research and understand that Mathematics is a part in every field of life.
Thus, the focus of whole week on importance of Mathematics and to develop the student?s interest was quite helpful in reducing fear of the subject from the minds of the students.
The Readers club of the school organized quiz competition on ?Festivals of different countries? in the school premises on 15th December, 2015. The students from classes VI and VII participated. There were 3 teams Diwali ( Nishant VI C and Ritesh VII C), Gurupurab ( Usha VII C and Tanuj VII C) and
Christmas (Pranjal VII C and Saurabh VII C) with two members each. It was a tough competition with variety of questions on festivals of different countries it was enjoyed by the students. They learnt more about different festivals celebrated in different countries. The quiz master Rishika of VII-C cherished the students with wonderful questions. The Winner team was (Diwali- NIshant & Ritesh). The event was graced with the presence of Academic Incharge and Activity incharge who endorsed the success of the event with her words of appreciation. The competition was well organized by Readers club incharge .
To enhance the speed of religious toleration, brotherhood, unity and co-operation, Christmas and Id-E-Milad was celebrated in the morning assembly on 28th December 2015. The temperament of the cold winter morning changed completely when the assembly started by uttering the pious words ??Id Mubarak? and ?Merry Christmas?. The speech on PSrophet Mohammad delivered by Sonika of class VII-C was highly informative. Students came to know many unheard incidents and events related to the life of Prophet Mohammad.
Christmas celebration was the next event. A skit describing the birth of the Jesus was played on the stage followed by Christmas carol. The whole program ended with the best wishes of the Santa clause.
Students enjoyed the whole program and also took oath to make this Christmas ?merry for the poor and the needy?.
