SAVE TREES RALLY

Save Trees Rally was organized by Eco-Club on 23 December 2015 to create awareness about saving trees and planting more trees. The rally started from the school covering area around the school,colonies in vasudha enclave, and also among the residents of Shalimar Bagh near Sheesh Mahal. More than 30 students of class XA, XB, XC participated with great enthusiasm. Students prepared attractive posters and banners on ?GO GREEN?. Thus rally was successful in emphasizing the need for saving and growing more trees.

DIARY ENTRY BY ENGLISH CLUB

Diary Entry promotes the writing skills among the students. With this objective an activity  on ?Diary  Writing? was organized by English Club on the topic ??How I Spent My Day? on 22 December 2015 in the activity room of  school. Many students from classes  I-X  participated  in this activity with zeal and enthusiasm. It not only enhance their writing skills but also helped to improve their creative skills. They showed their keen interest in the competition.

It motivated the students to excel even more. All in all it was a learning experience for the students.

Founders Day and Prize Distribution Function

Reputation honour and goodwill of school stands on its founders and to pay tribute not only to the founders Late Shri Lomesh Rishi Pathak and Smt. Krishna Pathak but also  to honour the meritorious and showcase the talent of the budding students the 47th Founder?s Day and Prize Distribution Function was held  on Saturday 19th December 2015 at 11.00 a.m.  

The chief guest of the evening was renowned sincere and dedicated former I.P.S officer and Magsaysay award winner Dr. KiranBedi who was given a floral welcome and token of appreciation by our Director Sir and Principal Mam. 

The cultural extravaganza started with the ?Devi Stuti? followed by ?? a colorful program meon Scooby Doo presented by class L.K.G and U.K.G. Then the presentation of different shapes and different colours by tiny tots mesmerized the audience. After the different asana of Yoga presented by class III to X followed by   Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony  which recognized the talents of young and gifted MMPIANS for their scholastic and non-scholastic achievements. The prizes were given by Dr. Kiran Bedi the chief guest and Principal ma ?am. The chief guest then gave an inspirational speech appreciating the efforts of the school and wished great success to the school After the Annual Report presented by the school Principal Mrs Rooma Pathak apprising the parents and guests about the achievements of the school of the last academic year, fraternity in coming years was followed by the play ?Swachh Bharat? which gave the message of clean India and Green India. The different asanas of Yoga presented by class III to X enthralled the parents. Finally the lively colourful ?Punjabi Bhangra? by class VI and IX invoked the sense of nationalism through its Punjabi dance. The cultural extravaganza culminated with the national anthem. Thus it was a vibrant and beautiful presentation 

TEACHER VISIT FROM SEABROOK COLLEGE

For Widening of the  mental horizon  of educational pattern for the teachers as well as the students of school at a global level , under the ongoing  ConnectingClassroom Program in collaboration with British Council  the Teacher exchange Visit was marked by the visit of Mr.AndeshPanday ,  Lead Teacher  from Sea Brook College , London who visited the school from  7th Dec 2015  to 11thDec 2015. The Lead Teacher was given a very warm welcome by the Director, Mr.Somesh Rishi Pathak and Principal, Mrs. Rooma Pathak, Academic Incharge Mrs.RenukaSharma and Educator Mrs.Bobby Narula.

 This visit under the Exchange Program helped in learning, appreciating and best practices of was a great boost in the exchanging of teaching pedagogy,academic curriculum and cultural activities among both the schools. The Educator teacher fromLondon actively participated in the Classroom Teaching in Junior, Middle and Senior Classes during the visit. Principal Mrs.Rooma Pathak,Academic Incharge Mrs. Renuka Sharma, Educator Mrs.Bobby Narula and other staff members shared thecommon teaching methodologies to bring both the schools at a common platform for their future Exchange Programs

 

CHAMUNDA SUPER SERIES UNDER - 18

It was a moment of pride when SACCHITT SHARRMA of class IX won CHAMUNDA SUPER SERIES UNDER - 18 tournament in Karnal help from 7th December 2015 to AITA 11th December 2015. He was the Winner in Singles Event and Runner-Up in Doubles Event.

CBSE NATIONAL LEVEL LAWN TENNIS TOURNAMENT

It was a moment of pride when MMPS UNDER-19 team bagged 3 medals in C.B.S.E. NATIONALS held in Nagpur from 25th November 2015 to 30th November 2015. The details are as follows :

·         The team comprising of YUGAL BANSAL, SACCHITT SHARRMA, SAHEJ SOMANI, PARTH SHARMA and AKSHAY performed exceptionally and won silver in the team event.

·         YUGAL BANSAL won silver in individual event.

·         SAHEJ SOMANI won gold in mixed doubles category.

Extend Arms Towards Differently Abled People

To promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well being of persons with disabilities "World  Disability Day" was observed on 3rd December 2015. The theme for "World Disability Day" for this year was "Inclusion matter: access and empowerment of people of all abilities."

In order to motivate and engage students to develop an empathetic understanding towards day to day challenges faced by the children with disability in their personal, social, academic and recreational aspects of life various activities were conducted in the school.

Students of classes VI - VIII wrote slogans on "Prevention of Discrimination - Equitable opportunities?" and made posters on "Empowerment for person with Disability." Elocution on "Human Rights and Disability" was conducted and a street play on "Participation of persons with Disability in building nation" was performed by the student of IX-X. Students of XI-XII participated enthusiastically in the Debate "Inclusion and Marginalization" and Essay Writing "Disability Provision in India."

Students whole heartedly took part in all the activities. These activities helped to develop the qualities like love, helpfulness, co-operation, sensitivity and empathy among the children. All in all it was a very productive and motivating experience for the students.

SMT KRISHNA PATHAK MEMORIAL ELEVENTH INTER-SCHOOL PAINTING AND CRAFT COMPETITION

"Colours brighten the dull atmosphere and bring vibrancy"

To  uphold the above theme, Smt. Krishna  Pathak Memorial Eleventh Inter School Painting and Craft Competition was organized on 2 December 2015  in the school premises amidst great fervor and enthusiasm in memory of their founder Late Smt. Krishna Pathak. The competition commenced with a welcome song by the students of class V and VI .About three  thousandstudents from 90 schools participated in the event under various categories and filled the atmosphere with vibrant colours. These young artists painted their vivid imagination in diverse colours on different topic like "Incredible India", "Our Delhi- Our Pride", "Girl Education: Country's Upliftment", "Globalization" and many others.

The   whole competition was divided into two events. Event one comprised of painting competition for classes I to VII and event two was craft Competition for VI to VII.

The Director Sir Mr. Somesh Rishi Pathak and Principal Mam Mrs. Rooma Pathak appreciated and applauded the students for their commendable work in presenting different styles and techniques in their paintings and craft.

The competition was a great success where the young budding artist got good opportunity

to express their  vivid ideas and emotional responses.

Another victory of MMPS Basket Ball team

It was a moment of pride when Senior Boys Basket Ball team of our school won Ist Position in CBSE Basket Ball Cluster - XII Championship held at Apex Public School, Sant Nagar, Burari from 3rd to 9th November 2015.

Senior Boys Basket Ball team consist of students Rachit (X), Vishal Gupta (XI), Satyajeet (XI), Ankit (XI), Akash Hooda (X), Sahil (VIII), Parvesh (IX), Bikash (XI), Rahul (X), Amit (VIII), Amit (XI), Ankit (X).

MMPians at International Level in Basket Ball

It was a moment of pride and glory when four students Himanshu (VII), Vishal Gupta (XI), Ankit (XI) and Rachit (X) of our school went to Adelaide, Australia for playing in Under 18 Boys category of Basket Ball team in Pacific International School Games - 2015 from 21st Nov. to 29th Nov. 2015.

The event gave the students an International Platform where they had a tough competition with very strong and renowned teams of other countries.
