To commend the Earth Day that is observed on 22 of April consistently and make mindfulness on basic issues like an Earth-wide temperature boost, contamination and the disappearing woods cover, the students from Grade III to VIII drove a development movement on every Friday of the month April under the guidance of ECO CLUB

The students attended workshops, online courses on the significance of earth organized on first Friday. On second friday, the students planted saplings in and around their homes. The third Friday, they made notes to say thanks for mother earth, cleaned the area of their homes and enhanced natural product plates and serving of mixed greens.

Subsequently, the students discovered that environmental change matters and has influenced the globe making it a debilitated planet. Furthermore, presently taking such little activities, the children have encountered the worth of the spotless and sound earth.

Earth Day celebration by Primary students

Earth Day is celebrated on 22nd April annually to acknowledge the global climate crisis which is at an alarming state and requires our immediate attention.

This year's theme for Earth Day 2021 is "Restore Our Earth." The theme signifies that we need to start doing our bit in order to restore the planet and focus on rebuilding the world's ecosystems.

The III and IV class students contributed their bit by creating awareness among masses. Students were dressed up and played role of mother Earth.

Earth Day Celebration by Middle classes students

To spread awareness regarding saving the planet from the destructive human activities, students of Grade VI to IX prepared slogans, posters, models on Earth Day on April 22,2021 showing the concern to save the earth. Under the guidance of parents and teachers, the kids expressed their views on how we can save the earth for future generations.

The movement was indeed beneficial and a spark to create concern about the Mother Earth.

Activity to understand Democracy

To make the students comprehend the importance of equality and dignity in democracy, the students of Grade VII took up a number of activities virtually in the second week of April.

The students learnt the various rights mentioned under the Constitution of India like right to vote, right to speak, equality based on caste, income and religion etc. and so forth PPTs and recordings on different kinds of governments were made by the students and clarified during the class practically. They also browsed on the internet about the schemes run by the government to bring equality in society and also about the social reformers who brought equality among the people irrespective of caste, creed and religion and wrote about their biography.

The action filled the students with the feeling of duties, practice of rights and eliminating social imbalance from the country.

Activity on Maps and Directions

To familiarize the students of Grade VI with the directional expertise and planning methods referenced in the Chapter 2- Maps (Geography), a movement was virtually led during the second week of April.

The students prepared a model of the globe and guide alongside the regular images. The instructor guided the students about complex directional abilities to explore the spots with the assistance of scope and longitude and utilize a global positioning-system (GPS) unit. The students also realized why the most extreme mutilation is found in the districts around the shafts when addressed on maps. Students had done the action of wrapping a ball, a plate or any round object with level paper and drew conventional symbols.

The activity boosted the students’ confidence to comprehend the idea of benefits and limitations of using the globe and map in their daily life.

Model Making Activity

To remain healthy, one must understand one's body first. Thus, on 20th April, students of class II engaged in a model making activity and discussion. Under this, students were taught about internal organs and 5 sense organs and then they created models based on their learning. They participated in a discussion about the same and had a meaningful learning experience.

World Heritage Day Celebration

"Monuments and Heritage sites are the rich essence of diversity and reflection of our culture"

To celebrate the richness and diversity of our heritage and preserving it, every year 'WORLD HERITAGE DAY' is celebrated on 18th April. The day marks respect to our diverse heritage and our commitment to preserve it for the future generations. "LOVE YOUR MONUMENTS, THEY ARE PART OF A RICH CIVILIZATION" With this motto in heart and mind the students celebrated this day by pouring their ideas full of vibrant colors on paper by making beautiful paintings expressing the beauty of ancient heritage .  Their enthusiasm was no less in this pandemic to enjoy the beauty of their favourite historical places, which they visited virtually  to witness the architectural sculptures of the past. They also pledged to safe guard this as their fundamental duty .

Bar Graph Activity by Math Club

"The only way to learn Mathematics is to do Mathematics."

To make students understand about Pictorial Representation of data in the form of bars i.e. Bar graph, a Mathematics activity was conducted virtually on April 17, 2021. Students of class IV made Bar Graph on A-4 sheet and decorated bars with different types of pulses.

The activity was very fruitful and beneficial as students enjoyed and understood the concept very well.

Baisakhi and Ambedkar Jayanti Celebration by Tiny Tots

Students of Pre-Primary Section Celebrated BAISAKHI & AMBEDKAR JAYANTI on 13th April 21' with fervor & enthusiasm through online classes. The pals of Grade L.K.G threw the light on importance of Baisakhi through their sweet little speech, wherein Grade U.K.G kids tapped their feet on Bhangra & Punjabi Songs. To pay tribute to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Short Message Assembly was conducted for Grade 1 Students. Children learnt various facts about Dr. BR Ambedkar. They also coloured the canvas using beautiful colours to create the image of Dr. Ambedkar.

It was indeed a day of Celebration.
