SELECTION OF SCIENCE MODELS FOR CENTER LEVEL

It was a matter of immense pride and glory when the models based on the theme, "Scientific Solutions for Challenges in Life" were selected for Center Level in Zonal Science Exhibition 2018-19 held on 15 September 2018 at Sarvodya Vidyalya, C-Block Saraswati Vihar. The students showcased their talent at Zonal Level and were not only appreciated and declared as winners but were also awarded with trophies and certificates.

The models "Power generation through Magnet" prepared at primary level by Yanik Baweja of V-A and Arnav Sharma of V-B, and at the middle level "Energy generation through Bio-degradable waste" prepared by Bhuvnesh and Vedic Bhatnagar of VIII-A and at the senior level, "Phenol: A Serious Environmental Threat", prepared by Bhavik Valecha of XI -A and Karan Vaswani of XI-B were selected. The Principal madam congratulated and wished all the winning students success for the Center Level.

Position in Poster cum slogan Zonal Competition

Another feather was added to the cap of M.M. Public School when Bhavishya Sharma of class IV got Ist position in Poster cum slogan and was qualified for the District Level. The school wishes him all the best for his next venture.

Ozone Day celebration

"Protect the Ozone Layer! Save the Life on Earth"

To bring awareness towards the health hazards and ecological imbalance caused by the depletion of affective layer present in the atmosphere, World Ozone Day was observed in school. A skit was presented by the students of class II and III. Different roles were played by the students of class IV and V.

The day ended with the happy and positive note.

Special Assembly on Ganesh Chaturthi

Special assembly was organised by Primary wing on 14th September 2018 to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi , Hindi Diwas with great fervour and zeal.

"Ganpati Bappa Moriyaa"

To celebrate the birthday of Lord Ganesha, the symbol of wisdom and remover of obstacles, Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with great pomp and glee. Story on Lord Ganesha was presented by a student of class V. Ganesh Pooja and Aarti were chanted by all present there. Students not only gained the knowledge about the festival and its significance but also enjoyed it too.

To mark the acknowledgement of Hindi as official language of India, "Hindi Diwas" was celebrated in the same assembly. Wonderful poems were recited and influential speech was spoken by a student of class V to make the little ones aware about the Hindi towards the success of India.

Achievement in CBSE Cluster XX Tennis Tournament

It was a moment of immense pleasure when the students achieved positions in the Lawn Tennis CBSE Cluster XX Tennis Tournament held at Gitaratan Jindal Public School from 10 September 2018 to 14 September 2018.

Hawan Ceremony

It is a proven fact that Hawan has scientific as well as spiritual implications. It purifies not only the environment but also the souls of the students. On September 12, 2018 Hawan Ceremony was organized for the students of L.K.G. and U.K.G.

The school choir formed by teachers, priest and little tiny tots enchanted scintillating hymns.

Teachers also conveyed their blessings by applying tilak and tying mouli to all the students and wished them all the very best for their future prospects.

Thus,it helped the tiny tots to seek the divine blessings of almighty.

Mock Birthday Party by Mont Students

Birthday celebrations are important for emotional and social development of children. Birthday celebration is a self-esteem booster for each child. It creates a special bond of friendship and leave great memories in the minds of children which lasts for a lifetime.

To inculcate the moral values, virtues and social development amongst children a Mock Birthday Party was organized on September 13, 2018.

The main aim of this party was to make the children understand how they can plan, execute and be a part of any party. They were also made familiar with the words like invitation, comfortable, blow the candle, lit the candle, welcome, goody bags, bursting of balloons etc. Children also enjoyed a special value education story on good behaviour through a puppet show. They were thrilled to have different tattoos at the tattoo station. The party ended with cake cutting followed by a rhythmic dance done by the children.

We at M.M.P.S want to celebrate childhood aiming to inculcate sense of sharing amongst the children and also providing them platform to develop bond with their peer group.

Children were beaming with birthday bliss!

Blue Colour Day Celebration by Mont Students

"Blue is the ocean, blue is the sky, Blue are the blueberries, I put into pie!"

A fun filled Blue Colour day was celebrated in our school on September 10, 2018. The significance of blue colour was reiterated. Students and teachers were dressed according to the colour celebrated.

To make the activity more inclusive, children brought different objects like toys, decorative items and drawings based on the theme.

The items were set on the table and decorated with descriptive balloons. Students also participated in games and other interesting theme based activities.

Felicitation of Commerce Olympiad Toppers

"People who achieve their goals do so with passion, planning, persistent and purpose"

To honour the Olympiad Toppers and CBSE Toppers a felicitation function ABHINANDAN was organized by commerce Teachers Foundation on 9th September, 2018 at India International Centre, Lodhi Road, Delhi in which Simran Batra and Devashish of class XI E were felicitated for securing IV and XIV rank in International Commerce Olympiad. They honoured Mrs. Santosh Batra (PGT-Comm.) with an award of appreciation. The Chief Guest was Mrs. Simrit Kaur, Principal of Shri Ram College of Commerce. Mr. G.C. Sharma and Mr. G.S. Grewal also graced the occasion. The Chief Guest congratulated the students on their success and wished them best of luck. 100% scorers shared their views about how to prepare for Boards to score 100%. It was a mesmerizing event for the students as well as for the teachers.

Conservation of Medieval Monuments by Eco club

The historical monuments are a part of ancient heritage of India which is closely associated with the identity of the nation. To increase the awareness among students about the importance of Historical Monuments and its preservation, a Project making activity was conducted for the students of ECO CLUB on the topic Conservation of Medieval Monuments on Wednesday 5th September 2018 in the school premises. Students wrote about various measures to be adopted for the preservation of the monuments. They also stated the initiatives taken by the government to save the valuable and historical heritage. Thus the activity was highly enriching and beneficial for the students.
