Raksha Bandhan Celebration

“Children of the same family, same community, the same blood, with the same first associations and habits, have some means of commitment in their power, which no subsequent connections can supply.” – Jane Austen

In India, this commitment among siblings, cousins, and distant relatives is celebrated and re-affirmed as Raksha Bandhan.

The term Raksha Bandhan is derived from Sanskrit which means “the bond of protection”. It is one of the most popular traditional festivals among Indians.

The band symbolizes protection, happiness and prosperity by the brothers. This day is observed in the month of Shravana in the Hindu lunar calendar which basically falls in August.

This is a day to share love and affection with your siblings. Brothers and sisters plan surprises, gifts and parties for each other. Traditionally, this joyous festival is marked to rejoice a brother’s vow to protect his sister from any obstacles in life.

During this lockdown, our forces, police, doctors, nurses, health workers, sanitary worker, essential services workers have also emerged as our protectors. Students of M.M. Public School also included them in their Raksha Bandhan wishes.

The students of primary wing prepared hand-made rakhis for their siblings and celebrated Rakhsa Bandhan during their online classes.

The passionate and cheerful MMPIANS celebrated the most beautiful and emotional bond of love between a brother and sister by making remarkable and perfect collage not only showing the selfless love for their brothers and sisters but also to honour this sacred bond.

Happy Raksha Bandhan! Our love for each other will never diminish.

Webinar on Tree Plantation and Organic farming

To nurture a garden is to feed not just the body, but the soul.

Eating fresh fruits and vegetables especially  grown in the arena of own home garden is one of the best ways to stay hale and hearty, therefore to create  awareness about the significance of not only  consumption of organic food but also the plantation of  terrace gardening among the mothers of our dear students  and teachers an educative and informative webinar on Organic Terrace Gardening  was initiated by our honourable Principal Ma'am Mrs.   Rooma Pathak on the occasion of Vanmahotsav on 25th July 2020.

The online session in the evening commenced with the welcome of well renowned Prof. Surendera Singh, a Professor in Department of Biological Science in Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur, an ex-visiting scientist in Jacob Israel and in the institute of Hydrobiology in China by our revered Principal Ma'am Ms . Rooma Pathak.

Prof. Surendera Singh emphasized that the effect of Covid 19 can be countered by doing organic farming and having pesticide free healthy food grown at home as it will boost immunity and longevity.

Prof Surendera's guidance laid emphasis on the preventive measures to be taken on plantation of fruits and vegetables at home. Prof shared his experiences of Israel and China and also signified the importance of healthy diet, antioxidants, beta carotene and expressed his fruitful views that the organic terrace farming and balcony farming

can be done easily at home if one has strong determination and dedication. Requirement of sunlight, air water earthen pots, plastic buckets, sprayer whatever available at home can be used and kitchen waste dried leaves, garden soil mixed with buttermilk can be used as compost. Plants can be grown from seeds at home and Navgreha Vatika can be initiated as well as turned into exciting profession .

After a short question answer round with mothers of our dear students and teachers the session ended with heartfelt thanks to the respected prof.Surendera Singh  for such an inspirational and motivational webinar which due to stringent efforts of our Principal Ma'am was possible.

Indeed, this session was worthy to attend and valuable as it helped all to be more careful with our food choices especially if they are grown at our own home.

Thus, the message Pesticide free farming Leads to healthy living was very well highlighted.

The army is the true nobility of our country.

To commemorate the sacrifices of our brave Kargil warriors, the young artist of MMPS made wonderful posters representing the feeling of patriotism.
