Celebration of Basant Pancham

Basant Panchami is a day dedicated to the devotion of Goddess Saraswathi, the Goddess of Knowledge, Music, Art, Speech, Wisdom, and Learning.

On this auspicious day, Saraswati Pooja was performed online by the students of Class II Students made beautiful paintings of Goddess Saraswati. Poem Recitation was done in both languages by students of class VI to VIII at a virtual platform in order to pay reverence and obedience to Goddess Saraswati on Saturday, 5 February 2022. The students bloomed as mustard fields in yellow dresses and greeted the arrival of spring with the prospect of shedding their sluggishness and gaining knowledge.

The facilitators also transmitted a message to use organic thread for kite flying rather than old traditional thread which is harmful.

Revered Principal Madam Ms. Rooma Pathak wished students Happy Basant Panchami and gave the message to relate and follow the path of truth, knowledge, and wisdom which is actually the true way of paying reverence and respect to Goddess Saraswati, the epitome of learning. Thus, the Basant Panchami celebration initiated the message of the welcome of spring along with prosperity, happiness, and love.

MMPians as Amazing Artists

'A work of art is a world in itself, reflecting scenes and emotions of a child'.

It was a matter of great pleasure when the students of MMPS got various positions in an Inter-School Virtual Art Week under ‘Shades of Life on Canvas- 2021’ conducted by THE MODERN SCHOOL, ECNCR in December 2021.

The winners of the Art Competition are:

Vanshika (Class VII)              - III Position

Kajal (Class VIII)                   - Certificate of Appreciation

The little artists demonstrated their talent, emotions, and ideas in their work. These types of platforms give students a sense of accomplishment and encourage them to continue honing their skills. These positions also demonstrated that art fosters artistic values critical to living a happy life. The students were wished success in their future endeavours by the school.

Republic Day Celebration

Republic Day is celebrated on January 26 every year to remember the day when the Constitution of India was implemented after India gained independence. To commemorate the spirit of an independent and democratic nation, 73rd Republic Day was celebrated virtually by M. M. Public School in all its solemnity and grandeur on Tuesday, January 25, 2022.

To infuse the spirit of unity, brotherhood, and patriotism among the students, a plethora of week-long activities was organized. The fantastic endeavour of performing Surya Namaskar by all MMPIANS was done under the auspices of Bharat Ka Amrit Mahotsav as a part of the Republic Day Celebration. On Prakaram Divas- The Day of Valour, students of class II to VIII dressed up as Netaji paid homage and honour to the great leader- Subhash Chandra Bose. Essay Writing competition and various Art-Integrated activities were organised virtually among the students of the Primary & Middle Department. All the young enthusiasts of the school also registered on mygov.in to watch live streaming of the Republic Day Parade.

To uphold the ethos of the Indian constitution and to promote equality, justice and fraternity, teaching and non-teaching staff, students of the school along with their parents and Principals across the nation were sensitised about Gender Sensitization through a virtual session on Right to Gender Equality organised under the aegis Indradhanush- an initiative by MM Public School.

The week-long celebration of Republic Day culminated with the unfurling of our National Flag by our revered Principal Ma’am Mrs. Rooma Pathak in the presence of teachers which followed with the rendition of the National Anthem.

Thus, these celebrations created immense patriotic fervor and zeal among the students. They not only learned about India’s political history, freedom struggle, and the Constitution but also understood how the great sons of the motherland have fought to attain freedom and make India a sovereign state.

Celebration of ‘Electoral literacy For Stronger Democracy’

National Voters Day is solely meant to encourage and spread awareness among the youths of India to vote and thereby maximize the enrollment of voters. To commemorate the 12th National Voters Day Students took Pledge to be future aware voters. Principal ma’am encouraged the students to focus on the fact that the right to vote is a basic right in a healthy democracy and always exercise this right.

Republic Day Celebration by Pre-Primary students

“A nation’s culture resides in the hearts and the soul of its people.”

To Commemorate our commitment to the constitution and to celebrate democracy, the youngsters of M.M.P.S celebrated the 73rd Republic Day with patriotic Zeal and Fervour on 24th January 2022.

Little Cherubs of Pre School depicted as NATIONAL SYMBOLS OF INCREDIBLE INDIA that one should be proud of with enthusiasm & excitement.

Little pals of U.K.G took pride in glorifying & celebrating the spirit of unity and brotherhood by representing a mellifluous MASHUP DANCE.

An incredibly informative presentation was presented by the youngsters of Grade 1.

They portrayed the BEAUTY OF THE DIFFERENT STATES, their food, culture, dance, etc. This performance enlightened and kindled the patriotic spirit in each heart.

A SPECIAL VIRTUAL ASSEMBLY was organised for the pre-primary wing wherein a special ppt was shown to the kids, children were also made aware of PREAMBLE which is the essence of CONSTITUTION.

Indeed, it was a day that gave the message of Solidarity & Freedom to all.

Bharat Ka Amrit Mahotsav - Conclusion of poses of Surya Namaskar

"Yoga is the dance of every cell with the music of every breath that creates inner serenity and harmony."

To commemorate the 75th anniversary of India's Independence and to keep alive the initiative of CBSE of doing ‘75 Crore Surya Namaskar’ different poses of Surya Namaskar which is a sequence of several yoga poses and a salutation to the Sun were energetically performed by the students of the school on Friday, 21st January 2022.

These asanas namely Parvatasana, Sanchalanasana, Hasta Padasana, Hasta Uttanasana followed by Pranamasana assisted the students to stretch, and tone their muscles in completing a Surya Namaskar circle. Besides good health, these asanas also provided an opportunity to the students to express gratitude to the sun for sustaining life on this planet.

As a result, this fantastic endeavour of performing Surya Namaskar was a huge success.It not only inspired pupils to cultivate spirituality, but also established a deep sense of gratitude towards life, thereby providing an absolute peace to the mind and the soul.

Celebration of Parakram Divas (Day of Valour)

‘One individual may die for an idea but that idea will, after his death, incarnate itself in thousand lives.’

To pay tribute to great freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra on his 125 birth Anniversary as Prakram Diwas on 23 January, homage and honour to the great leader Subhash Chandra Bose was paid by our young patriotic heroes from class II to VIII on Saturday 22 January 2022. They dressed up as Netaji paid their respect to the great leader as a part of celebration of Parakram Diwas.

The young enthusiasts not only gave inspirational speeches but also recited poems to highlight Netaji's major contribution to Indian Freedom Struggle which brought a feeling of immense gratitude and reverence for his sacrifice for nation. Furthermore, a PPT on the life history of Subhash Chandra Bose was shown to upgrade the knowledge of learners which was followed by discussion on his efforts gallantry and heroism by the teachers.

Thus, the celebration infused the spirit of patriotism among learners.  Students were able to learn lesson of courage, bravery and sacrifice from his life history.

Bharat Ka Amrit Mohatsav – 5th, 6th & 7th Pose of Surya Namaskar

'Yoga for health, harmony and humanity.'

Yoga is a holistic method of fitness that aims at balancing the body, mind and soul through various poses and meditative techniques.

The school whole heartedly contributed to nationwide movement of 75 Crore Surya Namaskara on the occasion of 75 years of Independence of our nation under the banner of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

In continuation of performing different poses on consecutive days   Dandasana, Ashatanga Namaskara as well as Bhujangasana was performed enthusiastically by all the students on Wednesday 19th January 2022.

These Surya Namaskara asanas helped to relieve stress and anxiety among the students which has risen due to present resurgence in COVID-19 cases.  It helped the students not only to be flexible and agile but also proved to be beneficial in improving their concentration level.

Thus, this great initiative of Sun Salutation encouraged the students to realise the importance of paying obeisance to Lord Sun through different poses.

Bharat ka Amrit Mahotsav - 2nd, 3rd & 4th pose of Surya Namaskar

As per the initiative of CBSE to perform 75 crore Surya Namaskar, Hasta Uttanasana, Hasta Padasana and Ashwa Sanchalanasana was performed by all MMPians on Tuesday, 18 January 2022 as a panacea against a plethora of health problems.

These asanas were beneficial in creating awareness among all the students those diseases like back pain, fatigue and indigestion, insomnia, osteoporosis, headache, anxiety and stress can be cured. It also established a deep sense of gratitude towards life, thereby providing an absolute peace to the mind and the soul.

Thus, this great initiative of performing yoga not only initiated fervour and excitement among the pupils' which is admirable and deserves recognition but also all the MMPians have learned the importance of paying reverence to Lord Sun through Surya Namaskar.
