Achievement in COMPUDON Junior Season III

“Making our kids digitally literate and competent has become essential as kids are using technology and it is essential that they understand how to use it safely and effectively.”

COMPUDON JUNIOR is a step in that direction. It is a National Championship for junior students on Microsoft’s Digital Literacy Standard Version 4.0. This Digital Literacy Championship tests School students’ generic ICT skills that are essential for students in the 21st Century.

There were 2 levels of this school-focused championship and top high-scoring school students from around the country were invited to compete in the India Finals round of this National Championship in a virtual award ceremony on 11th September 2022. 7 students from MMPS cleared Level-1 and become India Finalists. They appeared for Level-2 on the 27 August 2022 and the result was declared in the award ceremony.

Bhavishya Sharma (AIR- 41) and Aarush Prajapati (AIR- 44) were placed in the “Celebrated List”, and Siddhant Dhawan (AIR- 85) and Disha (AIR- 86) were placed in the “Merit List”.

Participating in the championship has not only helped students acquire and master digital literacy skills but prepared them to thrive and take advantage of the opportunities being created in the 21st-century global economy.

NCC CAMP

The National Cadet Corps grooms the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The young MMPIANS developed their character and enhanced their spirit of adventure service by attending the CATC Camp held from 24th August 2022 to 31st August 2022 at NCC Bhawan, Rohini Sector-19.

Students learned about leadership, a sense of responsibility, self-discipline and self-defense. Students did various activities like March Past, Shooting, Mock Drills, Firing, Games, Drawing Competition and Different Exercises. The students of MMPS who attended the camp were:- Shashwat Kashyap of class X, Prabhpreet of class X. The Commanding Officer of the CATC Camp was Colonel Sanjay Sethi.

Both cadets received participation certificates. Cadet Prabhpreet made the school proud by receiving the Merit Certificate for Good Command Control during the Camp.

The entire training session was highly beneficial for the students to follow the motto of NCC “Unity and Discipline” to be secular and disciplined citizens of the Nation.

Let’s Explore Green Colour

Green is the grass

Green is the colour of Nature, fertility, life. Green symbolizes self-respect and well-being.

Tiny tots of Grade L.K.G celebrated Green Colour Day on September 2, 2022

All the students and teachers were dressed up in vibrant shades of green colour. Kids were taught the identification and recognition of different green colour things. Children were encouraged to show their green-colored things and speak a few lines on the same.

To provide a Sensory Experience to little pals many activities were conducted in Green Colour.

Green Colour day provided Practical Learning Experiences to little MMpians.

Let’s Explore Farm Animals

To sensitize the children towards animals and create awareness of the environment, children were made aware of FARM ANIMALS, their homes young ones, physical features, Food they eat and their use.

Learning with the help of visual tools and related dress help the students to understand and memorize different topics with great ease.

Keeping this in mind “SHOW AND TELL” activity was organized for the students of the U.K.G. ON August 29, 2022.

Little pals shared facts about different farm animals. Apart from their academic syllabus about FARM ANIMALS, they learnt a lot about different animals.

They enhanced their creativity and speaking skills and emerged as confident speakers.

Hindi And English Calligraphy

Each letter in every script known to man holds an eternal power, an individual beauty in its vertical, Horizontal and angular lines.

As such it’s important to inculcate the habit of good handwriting amongst children. The students of grade 1 exhibited their writing skills through different forms of calligraphic fonts for the HINDI & ENGLISH CALLIGRAPHY COMPETITION on August 29th,2022.

Students had put their foot forward to enhance their writing skills by participating in it with great Zeal & Enthusiasm.

55th Youth Parliament

"Democracy cannot succeed unless those who express their choice are prepared to choose wisely. The real safeguard of democracy, therefore, is education."

The session of the 55th Youth Parliament was conducted in M.M. Public School, Vasudha Enclave, Pitampura. It is an initiative of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India. The competition was held on 5th September 2022 in the school premises and was graced by Mr. A.B. Acharya, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and Mr. Bratin Sengupta, ex-MP, Rajya Sabha.

The event began with lamp lightning followed by a formal welcome of the guests by honourable Principal Ms. Rooma Pathak who gracefully presented saplings and shawls to the guests.

The students started a mock Parliamentary Session which consisted of twelve legislative businesses like Oath Taking, Obituary Reference, Introduction of new members, Question Hour, Breach of Privilege, Papers to be laid, Message from Upper House, Welcome of Foreign Delegates, Calling Attention Motion, No confidence motion, Bill Introduction and Bill for consideration. The parliamentary session was followed by the address to the students by both the guests who appreciated the efforts of the participants followed by the announcement of the results. Eight participants viz. Sanvi, Adhya, Arzoo, Navya, Megha, Drishti, Gunjan and Ayushi were declared the best speakers. The event was successfully concluded with a vote of thanks to the guests.

Sports Activity

Children need the freedom & time to play. Sports activities inspire children to compete- winning & losing. The enhancement of the Physical & Mental development of children is certainly the most important contribution of sports for children. Sport is a powerful tool that breaks down all the barriers and helps one to feel good about ourselves, both physically & mentally.

Students of Grade Pre School & Pre-Primary were indulged in various sports activities like Toffee Race, Putting balls in the tub & Dog bone Game etc. on August 2, 2022.

Play gives children different sensory, physical & cognitive experiences.

It was indeed a Day full of Fun.

MY PERFORMANCE (TOPIC -VEGETABLES)

To strengthen the verbal skills and to foster public speaking competency of the young minds, SHOW & TELL COMPETITION was organized for the Pre-School students on August 8, 2022.

Little pals wore beautiful costumes with beautiful props and spoke about their favourite VEGETABLES.

Their excitement to speak about Vegetables was skyrocketing.

They talked about vegetables, their nutritive values, colour, taste etc.

Children thoroughly enjoyed this activity and the performance was worth appreciating.

Teachers' Day Celebration

“It's the teacher who can change mankind for the better.”

Teachers' Day is Celebrated in honour of Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan's birthday, who had asked people to dedicate the day to teachers and mentors.

We MMPians commemorated this day on 5th September with full vigour by organising a Special Assembly in the morning. The school choir chanted the Gayatri Mantra followed by a Guru Mantra- ‘Gurur Brahma, Gurur Vishnu’. The assembly proceeded further with an emphatic speech delivered by the Head Boy Krishankant followed by a felicitation of our reverential Principal madam Mrs Rooma Pathak. Then the Class IV students recited wonderful poems dedicated to the teachers whereas Class VII students delivered their speeches. Class II tiny tots put themselves in the shoe of their teachers, well-attired, decked up like their mentors and presented their views on their teachers and how they brought a positive change in their life. The assembly ended with an invigorating speech given by the school Head Girl Hridya Sharma followed by the National Anthem.

To dedicate this day to the Principal Ma'am and the Teachers, twelfth class students dressed up as teachers and taught in classes like their teachers for the first half of the school. It was followed by a celebration in the school’s auditorium where twelfthees expressed their gratitude, love and thanked their teachers by presenting Thank You Cards and Flowers. They also performed dances on the latest Bollywood numbers in order to entertain their favourite teachers. Principal Ma'am appreciated students' efforts in making the day memorable and wished all the teachers a very Happy Teacher's Day.

The day witnessed the felicitation of all the teachers and mentors. The school Director and the Principal wished all the coordinators, and teachers and inspired them to continue with their good work. The day was immensely enjoyed by the students as well as the teaching fraternity.

Activity on Taste Adaptability
