The Readers club of the school organized quiz competition on the topic "Diversity of culture" in the school premises on 22nd November, 2014. The students from class X participated. There were 4 teams namely P.leo, P.tigris, P.pardus and Corvus sp. with two members each. It was a tough competition with variety of questions from the topic causes of Cultural Diversity. It was completely enjoyed by the students and had a real learning session. The quiz master Ayjaz Hussain of class XI cherished the students mind with wonderful questions. Team "Corvus sp." (Riya and Ritu) were declared as winners of the quiz competition. The event was graced with the presence of Activity Incharge Mrs. Neeru Vij who endorsed the success of the event with her words of appreciation. The competition was well organized by Reader club incharge Mrs. Usha.
School has always motivated and appreciated the talent in our students. School tries best to provide all the facilities so that student nurture their talent and bring best out of them. It was a moment of pride when Paarth Sharma of class XI showed outstanding performance in Lawn Tennis in Chamunda-AITA Talent Series in Under-16 category on 17th November 2014 held at Karnal, Haryana. He gave tough competition to his opponents and come out as a winner and brought laurel to school. School applauds on his success and wishes him more energy and strength for achieving success like these in future.
Special assembly was organized on 11th of November, 2014 in M. M. Public School. The theme of the assembly was "Education". Teachers and Students shared their views and prospects of education. After the assembly students came to know the importance of and value of education and also the aspects of education in future.
Road safety week was observed from 30-10-14 to 5-11-14. We have celebrated road safety week on 3rdNovember 2014 during special assembly. The program was started with a SPEECH on road safety by FALGUNI of class 1X A. A SKIT was then performed by the students of class IX A. After conveying the message of ROAD SAFETY through the skit, the information regarding ?Do?s and Don?ts? was also conveyed by sunny Sharma of 1X A. The PAMPHELTS on road safety rules were distributed to the entire school .The motive to create awareness among the students regarding road safety was achieved.
Water Cycle Bracelet making activity was organized by Health and Hygiene Club on 20th October 2014.
Students of class VI took part in it enthusiastically. Ms. Charu took the charge to conduct the activity. Blue, white and green color beads were used which represented three major parts of water cycle i.e. rain, evaporation and transpiration respectively. A bracelet was made with the help of these beads and thread. Kids enjoyed doing this activity and got to know about the proper working of water cycle in the environment.
The Mathematics club organized an activity on "mathematical design of rangoli" Students from class I to X participated in the same.
Students from junior wings made small rangoli design by using mathematical shapes like circle, square ,triangle etc. Class VI to X collected designs from books and net and represented on A-3 size and A-4 size sheets . Some students decorated rangoli with rice, moong dal and other pulses. They draw various shapes and inside them they filled colors and glittering objects. Students of VIII class also explain that how these rangolies are related to maths . Students not only gained an insight into the activity; but also showed their creativity and were curious to know more about rangoli designs.Hence every member of Mathematical club took active part in the activity . Maths club activity was conducted under the guidance of club Incharge .
A poster making on environmental hazards of various cultural practices was organized on 18-10-2014 to create awareness among the students about certain cultural practices which cause irreversible harm to our environment. Students participated enthusiastically & prepared posters with strong message to adopt eco-friendly practices to save our planet earth. Thus it was successful conducted by eco club under the guidance of eco club incharge Ms. Suman Bala .
On 15th October, 2014, workshop on Healthy Hand Wash was organized by Health and Hygiene club under the guidance of club in charge Ms. Charu Raheja.
The students of class IV and V understood the concept of washing different parts of hands which are frequently missed during hand washing. Students acquired knowledge of different steps to be followed during hand washing.The practical washing of hands was shown to the students which enlightened them to be hygienic. Posters were displayed near hand wash unit and students were guided to follow the steps written on posters. Thus it was an enriching and knowledgeable experience for the students.
Animals are the most innocent creation of god. So its our duty to protect animals as they are dumb and mute. Keeping this in mind a campaign was organized to Shish Mahal located in Shalimar Bagh on 4th October 2014. Around 50 students of eco club and health and hygiene club participated in the awareness drive to protect animals. Students wore animal mask and carried banners aware people about plight of endangered species. Pamphlets with the slogan don?t kill animals rather kill the animal inside you were distributed by the students to the visitors of Shish Mahal. Students interacted with the people nearby and made them sensitive towards the issue of animal protection.
It was a moment of immense pleasure when Manish Kumar Rai of M.M Public School, Vasudha Enclave, Pitampura won silver medal under 16, weight 45kg judo tournament in North Zone-I CBSE held on 1st and 2nd October 2014 at Convent of Gagan Bharti Public School. He has been selected for next round at National level. Debashish, under 14, weight 35 kg also won bronze medal in the tournament.
