Presentation on Species of Tigers by Heritage Club

HERITAGE CLUB conducted an activity on 27th and 28th of April 2017 on SPECIES OF TIGERS in which a Powerpoint Presentation was shown to the students of Classes VI-A, B, C and D to make them aware with the different species of tigers, the reasons of their extinction, the steps which government has taken to preserve them and at the end statistical data was also shown to make them aware of the current status of the population of tigers. Students enjoyed watching the presentation and actively participated by asking questions related to the topic and sharing their views for the same.

Hawan for classes I and II

To start the day of the student with holy mantras and to take the blessings for bright future a Hawan was organised for classes I and II on 26th April 2017.

Students said prayer and enchanted mantras especially the Gayatri Mantra. They learned about the importance of spirituality and prayers. After that they got Prasad which they enjoyed together.

Earth Day Celebration by Eco Club

Every year April 22 is observed as Earth Day worldwide to create awareness for the conservation of environment. In our school it was celebrated on 24th April 2017 by Eco Club to focus on the unique environmental challenges of our time. A rally was organized in residential areas of Pitampura. About 40 students of class VIII-A participated in the rally. The banners & slogans were the main attractions of the rally. The most important part of the campaign was the awareness about environment created by students through powerful slogans. The Principal Mrs. Rooma Pathak & the Academic In charge Mrs. Renuka Sharma encouraged the students to take up more such eco friendly initiatives to save environment.

Mask making (Tiger) competition

Art and Craft Club organized competition for Mask making on Tigers in the school premises on 24th April 2017. Students participated and made beautiful mask with great enthusiasm which was well appreciated by Principal Mam. These Young Artists filled the whole atmosphere with the vibrant colors.

Mask Party by Tiny Tots

A Mask party for Pre-Primary students was organized on 21st April, 2017. All the masks were unique and were based on different types of themes and were the symbol of World Togetherness and Brotherhood. Students showed their interest in different characters and also in dancing with the masks on

 

FELICITATION AT INTERNATIONAL LEVEL

It was a proud moment when the school got felicitated by International School Award 2017 on 15th April, 2017 at Air force Auditorium for excellence in imparting English Language Assessment amidst loud cheering and applause. It was headed by Mr. John Kerr (the Chief Executive of Cambridge).The 9 students who have excelled the Cambridge School Examination got certificates and words of appreciation by Mr. John Kerr. The felicitation of the school, as well as the students is a great source for inspiration for all the students and the staff members.

MOCK DRILL ON FIRE SAFETY

In continuation of the school`s vigorous and on-going endeavors to create awareness among the School teachers along with drivers & conductors of School buses about fire fighting techniques and the prompt ways to respond swiftly in emergency situation, a Mock Drill was conducted on 15th April, 2017 at 10:45 am in the school compound. Everybody participated enthusiastically and seriously listened to the instructions of the trainer. It was advised not to panic in case of breakout of fire and not only to keep all the safety measures in mind but also to carry them out methodically. All in all the whole training session was highly enriching and inspirational.

Baisakhi Celebration by Tiny Tots

The kindergarten wing of our school was decorated today i.e. 13th April 17, depicting the harvest season. Children were explained about the importance of the festival by showcasing the Punjabi culture. Dhol beats and Punjabi Folk music added to the excitement. Children were dressed in colourful Punjabi traditional outfits with ornaments and accessories. The motive behind the celebrations was to apprise the children of their rich culture & heritage. It was also explained that Baisakhi is not only a harvest festival but also an auspicious day as on this day Guru Gobind Singh Ji ,10th Guru of Sikhs has established the Khalsa Panth.

It was a moment of pleasure when Maitreya Rana of class IX was Runner-up (II Position) in AITA CS-7 Tennis Tournament held on 3rd April 2017 at High Performance Tennis Academy Gurugram.
