The Readers Club of the school organized Quiz Competition on Religious Leaders on 27th October, 2017. The students of Class VI participated. There were 3 teams GURU NANAK (Ishika and Chirag), Tulsidas (Sanvi and Kunal) & Vivekananda (Aeshna and Piyush Bagoria). The quiz master Pranjal cherished the students with mind blowing and wonderful questions. Team GURU NANAK was declared as the winner team.
To implement Quality Education in various activities inside and outside the school leading to improve- Self Awareness, Empathy, Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, etc. a 23rd Annual National Sahodaya Conference was held on 2nd and 3rd November 2017 at Raja Muthiah Mandram Madurai, Tamilnadu .
It was a moment of pride that our Director Sir Mr. Somesh Rishi Pathak and Principal Ma?am Mrs. Rooma Pathak attended the conference and brought in much new learning that the Quality Education in schools should be reinforced with adequate emphasis on tapping every learner's personal potential and they look forward enthusiastically to implement it in their school for the betterment of all students.
The conference was inaugurated by Lighting of the Lamp followed by Prayer and a Welcome Address. The conference was a conglomerate of Correspondents, Principals, CEO's and Directors from across the country and also from abroad
Many renowned personalities from academic field presented their thoughts about Quality education and thinking & Problem Solving. It was concluded by Valedictory address.
It was a successful conference by CBSE which initiated all academicians, management and other related professional to adopt a humanistic approach in school education with an emphasis on Quality Education to be interwoven around scholastic and co-scholastic domains. It was a wonderful experience and school looks forward to be a part of such motivating events.
On November 3, 2017 the tiny tots celebrated the birthday of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. (Guru means a religious teacher or messenger). The celebration begins with teachers explaining about Guru Nanak Dev Ji teachings. He taught that all people are equal, no matter what their color, gender or their religion, or what country they come from. Then students made photo frames of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
In continuation of human endeavor by Smile Revivers, 3 Day Free Dental Checkup and Awareness Camp under the supervision of Dr. Damini Bhasin was recently organized from 30th Oct to 1st Nov 2017. A team of Specialist Dental Surgeons and Para-medical staff carried out a comprehensive dental checkup for all the students from Classes L.K.G to XII.
The students got ample opportunities to interact with the dental surgeons to enquire and gain knowledge concerning oral diseases. On completion of the dental checkup each student was given a Patient Card, a report summary of the diagnosed problem and the recommended dental treatment plan.
The camp was initiated with dental awareness talk, educating students about common dental ailments, especially stressing on tooth decay and gum diseases and measures to prevent from them. The students were highlighted about the eating patterns and food choices which cause tooth decay. The surgeons also highlighted about the possible formation of harmful acid which develops when bacteria (plaque) gets in contact with sugar in the mouth which ultimately results in tooth decay. ?Added sugars often are present in soft drinks, candies, cookies, pastries and therefore to help control the consumption of sugar one must read the food labels and choose the right foods and beverages that are low in added sugar?, the dental surgeons added.
To improve the basic application writing skills of the students, an Application Writing activity was conducted on 27 October 2017 for class VI to XI. The Students wrote different types of application like leave application, for fee concession, for changing section etc. They were assessed not only on the basis of format but also the content. All in all the activity was very knowledgeable and students enthusiastically participated in it.
To polish the oratory skills of the students Declamation was held on the topic Be Kind, Live Kind for the students of class VI to XII on 27 October 2017. The students were well prepared and used many real life examples to present their views effectively. The Declamation turned out to be informative and knowledgeable.
