CLASS REPRESENTATIVE ELECTION ACTIVITY ON 01-05-2014

Election for the class captain was held in XI ?f? on 1st may 2014, students participated actively and chose their class representative by following the below mentioned procedure-Each student gave one vote. The three highest vote getters were elected. Each student had three votes and could give them all to one candidate or split the votes among different candidates. Each voter gave preference ranking to candidates and the counting followed as per the method of election of Rajya Sabha members. By doing same students gained the knowledge and understanding of the different methods of election, the characteristics of the system of election adopted in our country, the importance of the previous for free and fair elections.

HAWAN CLASS I AND II ON 30-04-2014

To invoke the value of spirituality among the students ?Hawan? was organized for class I and II on 30th April 2014. Students participated with full enthusiasm under the guidance of their class teachers Ms. Archna , Ms. Ekta and Ms. Preeti. Students touched the feet of priest after covering their heads with handkerchiefs to get his blessings .The students chanted Gayatri and MahaMrityunjay mantra whose meaning was well explained by the priest.

Thus, it was all in all an enriching and motivating experience for them.

ACTIVITY ON ENDANGERED SPECIES BY MATHS CLUB ON 30-04-2014

The Mathematics club organized an activity on ?Statistical information on endangered species? on 30th April 2014. Students from class I to X participated in the same.

Class I to V Students ( Krish , Mannat  Khush , Tnya , sheffali, shivam)  made the mask of various endangered species and spoke  4 to 5 lines on it. Class VI and VII collected Statistical information and represented on pictograph, bar graph and pie chart on A-4 size sheet. Class VIII students collected Statistical information and represented on pictograph, bar graph, histogram and pie chart in project file.Class IX and X students collected Statistical information and represented on pictograph, bar graph, histogram, frequency polygon and pie chart on A3 size sheet. Milind Gupta,Simran Batra,Ishika Rajwar and Tejasv Mudgal of class VIII-A gave information on Meaning of Endangered species, Various kinds of Endangered species , their statistical conditions , condition of our National animal and birds ,causes and prevention. Students not only gained an insight into the activity; but also were curious to know more about endangered species. Hence every member of Mathematical club got information regarding the activity that we must save the endangered species for our better future. Maths club activity was conducted under the guidance of club Incharge Ms Meenakshi Bharti (TGT Maths) along with Ms. Monica Nagpal (PRT Maths).

BRITISH COUNCIL ACTIVITY - STREET PLAY ON COMMONWEALTH VALUES ON 29-04-2014

A street play - based on the values of Commonwealth Games Federation - Humanity, Equality and Destiny was enacted by the students of M.M. Public School, Vasudha Enclave, Pitampura, Delhi on 29th April 2014 in the school premises. Students from classes 6 and 9 participated wholehearted and enacted the values of Humanity, Equality and Destiny.

The play aimed at bringing out the differences at par that exist between the rich and poor class of the society almost globally. If passed on the message of Humanity - a set of strengths focused on 'tending and be friendly others' along with Equality - a provisional equal opportunities where individuals are protected from being discriminated against on the basis of caste , religion, family structure and Destiny - something that has to happen or is in evitable .

Students enacted a plot that depicted how children of rich parents are ready to share and play with poor children irrespective of their illiteracy and poverty but their rich father  does not allow his children to play with the poverty strata and when the child of rich man is saved by poor children the rich man out of his attitude offers to pay the poor parents but they refused to take money. The rich children then offered chocolates and copies, but that refused on the pretext that they have to sell tea and flowers as all these things are of no use to them. Soon a passerby notice the incident and scolds the rich man not to develop hatred for the poor and take a pledge to help them to study and offer them an equal opportunity for their progress. In this way he can respect humanity and equality, the basic values of commonwealth federation.

CELEBRATION OF EARTH DAY ON 28-04-2014

Earth day is celebrated on April 22 world wide to create awareness for conservation of environment. Earth day was celebrated on 28 APRIL 2014 to focus on the unique environmental challenges of our time under the guidance of Ms Suman Bala (Eco Club Incharge). It began with cognitive speech by Niikita of class X A which motivated students to preserve and conserve environment .

It was followed by medley of poems dedicated to the environment by Yashita & Jagriti of class  X B. Students enthralled the audience with  drama ? The Bull & The Owl ? by Anushka & Nikita of class X A . The presentation centered on the need to curb men?s greed in his tearing rush for urbanization , industrialization& development .

A rally was organized in residential areas of the Pitampura .About 50 students  of class IX participated in the rally .The banners & slogans were the main attractions of the rally . The most important part of the campaign was the awareness,about environment created by students through powerful slogans .

The Principal Mrs. Rooma Pathak & The Academic In charge Mrs. Renuka Sharma encouraged the students to take up more such eco friendly initiatives to save environment .

ACHIEVEMENT IN INTER-SCHOOL JUDO TOURNAMENT ON 29 TO 30-04-2014

School participated in Aadharshila Inter School Judo tournament 2014 held at the Aadharshila Sr. Sec. School on 29-30 April. 30 students participated out of which one student succeed to achieve laurels and bring pride to school. ACHIEVEMENT IN INTER-SCHOOL YOGA TOURNAMENT ON 27-04-2014

To improve the yoga skills an Aadharshila Inter school yoga tournament 2014 was held in Aadharshila Sr. Sec. School on 27 April. 15 schools participated in the tournament out of which three students bagged positions in different categories.

CELEBRATION OF WORLD HEALTH DAY ON 17-04-2014

World Health Day is a global campaign celebrated every year ON 7 April to mark the anniversary of WHO which was launched in 1948.Each year a theme is selected for ? WORLD HEALTH DAY?. The theme of this year 2014 is "VECTOR BORNE DISEASES".   World Health Day was observed on THURSDAY, April 17, 2014.  The students of ?Health and Hygiene Club? under the guidance of club in charge ?Ms. Mamta? shared their views on different types of diseases and their precautions in a special assembly. They also presented wonderful and meaningful posters spreading the message of health awareness among students. The programme was whole heartedly appreciated and applauded the efforts made by the students. 

HERITAGE DAY CELEBRATION ON 17-04-2014

We at MMPS strongly believe that our world is our home. Building, monuments, land, air, water are all part of our heritage. We should pledge and protect them. Students made banners ,boards and layouts with wonderful slogans written on it. The event was successfully organized  under the guidance of Ms.Pooja Tomar, Incharge of  the ?Heritage Club?. Our school has adopted the monument ?SHEESHMAHAL? to protect our heritage.  Students created awareness among the people and discussed followings points:

  • Save our monuments.
  • Save our culture as it is also a part of our heritage.
  • Students told about the flora and fauna (turmeric and parrot).
  • Aditya of class VII-A recited one poem on our Indian heritage (Dhanya Bharatiya Sanskriti) .

Students learnt a lot of things about their heritage . The event was a great success.
