MMPS Hosts Health Check-Up Camp for All Stakeholders

#SDG 3 Good Health and Well Being

MMPS believes in investing in educators' well-being, therefore a comprehensive health check-up camp for all stakeholders was set up by a team of qualified doctors from Max Hospital.

The camp offered a range of screenings, including blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, dental health, eyesight etc.. These check-ups aimed to ensure the physical and mental well-being of the teachers, who play a vital role in shaping young minds. Following the screening, the doctors provided consultations to the staff, addressing any health concerns.

By prioritizing employee health, MMPS fostered a healthy work environment, which directly contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 3.

"स्वस्थ रहना ही जीवन है"- मेरा प्रदर्शन

स्वास्थ्य जिसका ठीक रहा,

जीवन में वह खुशहाल रहा, अच्छे स्वास्थ्य बिना जीवन बेकार है,

स्वास्थ्य ही जीवन का आधार है। 30 अप्रैल 2024 को कक्षा दो के छात्रों के लिए "स्वस्थ रहना ही जीवन है"- मेरा प्रदर्शन ,गतिविधि का आयोजन किया गया। सभी छात्रों ने गतिविधि में सक्रिय रूप से भाग लिया और वे विषय से संबंधित आकर्षक पोशाक भी पहन कर आए ।छात्रों ने स्वस्थ जीवन की उपयोगिता दर्शाते हुए कुछ वाक्य भी कहे और गतिविधि के प्रति अपनी रुचि दिखाई। इस गतिविधि से विद्यालय द्वारा छात्रों को यह समझाने का प्रयास किया गया कि मानव जीवन के लिए स्वास्थ्य ही सर्वोपरि है।

FLAMELESS COOKING: An Adventure Beyond the Kitchen

To develop culinary skills regardless of the availability of cooking equipment or access to a kitchen with stoves, ‘Flameless Cooking’ activity was organized for students of Class IX on Monday, 29 April 2024.

The students' enthusiasm was palpable as they embarked on preparing a diverse array of flameless recipes like Sevpuri, Bhelpuri, and Cheese cone Chaat to wholesome snacks of Cheese sandwiches, Coconut Ladoo etc. Refreshing beverages like Detox Water and sweet treats like Brownie and Strawberry Kiwi Parfait added charm to the feat.

Honorable Principal Ma’am Mrs. Rooma Pathak appreciated the efforts of students and interacted with them about healthy recipes and importance of nutrients.

Puppet Show on "Be Punctual and Consistent"

To instil the value of being punctual and consistent, a delightful Puppet Show was organized for students of classes III to V. The teachers created puppets to narrate the story of a young girl, highlighting the virtues of punctuality and consistency.

The show depicted the daily life of the girl, emphasizing the challenges she faced due to her lack of punctuality.

Student learnt time management and inculcated the positive traits of punctuality and consistency in their daily lives.

Thus, the puppet show was a creative and educational initiative that not only entertained the students but also instilled a valuable life lesson.

“Awareness on Malaria Prevention"

“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"


To achieve the goal of elimination of Malaria from society, all the students of the school were sensitised about its prevention and control on the occasion of World Malaria Day during Morning Assembly on Thursday, 25 April 2024.
 Out of many activities one of the key activities organized in our school was a Cleanliness Drive which aimed at eliminating potential mosquito breeding sites. Students enthusiastically participated in cleaning stagnant water and removing scraps from the school premises
Moreover, students created awareness about early detection of Malaria through a slogan writing competition.
Furthermore, the school nurse Ms. Rachael, conducted an informative session to educate students about the symptoms of malaria and the importance of early detection and its treatment. Students were provided with valuable information about recognizing the signs of malaria and seeking timely medical assistance. Even do's and don'ts for vector borne diseases and other IEC material were put up on the notice board which helped in educating the students about it. 
To keep aligned with the theme of World Malaria Day 2024, our school emphasized the need for health equity, gender equality, and human rights to fight against malaria. By empowering students with knowledge and promoting proactive measures, MMPIANS committed in contributing towards prevention, control and complete management of Malaria cases so that it is fully uprooted and eliminated and helps in ensuring a healthier future for all. Thus the various activities conducted during the day served as a reminder of the importance of collective action to combat this deadly disease.

 

Orientation Programme for the Session 2024-25

To acquaint the parents with the vision, mission, policies, curriculum, facilities, and support services of the school, an Orientation Programme for the parents was organized on Saturday, 20 April 2024 for the new academic session 2024-25.

The programme was initiated with a welcome address by the teachers, who mentioned the achievements and accolades of the school in various fields. They also stressed the significance of parental involvement and cooperation in the holistic development of the students.

The programme was followed by presentations by the teachers of different subjects who used Interactive Panels to display the syllabus, pedagogy, assessment, and learning outcomes of their respective domains. They also illustrated how a conducive environment for learning is provided by the school through its infrastructure, management, faculty, and counselling. Queries and doubts raised by the parents were addressed by the teachers.

The programme built a rapport between the school and the parents who in a collaborative partnership will work towards the holistic development of the students.

VISIT TO ROTI BANK SDG-2 Zero Hunger

To instill a sense of responsibility towards contributing to societal welfare, students of Eco Club visited Roti Bank of Prashant Vihar on Friday, 19 April 2024 under the project SDG-2 ‘Zero Hunger’ under the guidance of their teacher.

The students actively participated in a food donation drive, contributing a variety of nutritious items to Roti Bank. This educational excursion aimed to expose students to the commendable efforts of the NGO in addressing food insecurity, instilling in them a deeper understanding of the importance of community service.

The experience not only broadened their perspectives but also kindled a sense of responsibility towards societal welfare. The visit to Roti Bank stands as a testament to the transformative power of education when coupled with compassionate action.

BRUSHING UP TEETH ACTIVITY

Oral hygiene is an integral part of one's good health and hygiene. To unable the little MMPians of Grade L.K.G. BRUSHING UP TEETH activity was done on April 19, 24’.

Little ones were taught oral hygiene through different poems and stories on brushing up teeth.

A demonstration on correct way of brushing teeth with up and down stroke was taught by the facilitator of the class.

HAWAN CEREMONY: INVOKING BLESSINGS

“Let the flames of the Hawan ignite the spirit of wisdom and prosperity in MMPians hearts."

A serene and divine atmosphere enveloped our school on 18 April 2024, as students of class VII and VIII along with their teachers gathered for a Hawan ceremony to invoke blessings for the new academic session 2024-25. The sacred fire was lit by Pandit Ji which symbolized the beginning of a journey filled with wisdom, prosperity, and success. Students actively participated in the ceremony by offering prayers and seeking divine guidance for the academic year. The Hawan served as a powerful reminder of the importance of spiritual blessings in our educational journey, fostering a sense of unity and positivity among all students.

Celebration of Ram Navami and Mahavir Jayanti

A special assembly on 16 April 2024 marked the celebration of Ram Navami, the birth of Lord Rama, the seventh avatar of Vishnu as well as Mahavir Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavira, the 24th and last Tirthankara of Jainism.

The assembly commenced with a thoughtful reflection, followed by student presentations including a poem and an uplifting speech. A captivating dance performance by the students imbued the atmosphere with a sense of spirituality. Through these presentations, the audience gained a deeper understanding of the teachings of Lord Rama and Lord Mahavir.

The celebrations not only introduced the rich cultural heritage of Hinduism and Jainism but also highlighted the significance of universal values that transcend religious boundaries.
